So in the UK, the "new" 2017 iPad Smart Cover is £39, but the 9.7" iPad Pro Smart Cover is £49.

Lol ok, that's strange alright. Just checked them out in the Canadian store. $49 for the mini 4 and iPad 9.7" covers. $59 for the 9.7" Pro and $75 for the 12.9" Pro.
