IPad Spreadsheet Error Message

I am getting an Error Message " Spreadsheet can't be opened" on my Ipad Numbers.

How can I access this Spreadsheet again?
Have I lost all of my data?

What format is the spreadsheet? .xls or .xlsx or something different?

Have you tried reopening it on a computer? It's probably just saved in a way the iPad can't read...

The original file should be the same still.
