Just worrying and wondering about this littlebit... As power (Mac Pro) user I was hoping to see new 12-core Mac Pros in the event or even i5 MacBook Pros. I´m sure this iPad has stolen littlebit attention at least, but I wonder how much?

Hope they haven´t forgotten us who need professional computers. Seems littlebit like they are becoming a company making these "toys" if you will for average consumers... Don´t be offended, but that´s what I think this iPad is. Nothing wrong with toys though, but I wouldn´t want Apple to become a toy company. :)

Steve Jobs said Apple is a mobile device company. Go get your real computer elsewhere. lol jk.

Yeah, it would be nice to see some new desktop models come out here soon.

Internally I don't think the iPad is stealing resources away from other Apple projects, it's just that externally Apple has chosen to focus on promoting certain products over others. I'm sure there will still be a Mac Pro update in the next couple of months or so.

I wonder if we are seeing Apple moving further away from traditional computing devices and focusing on what seems to be their "thing" with mobile computing. The success of the iPod/iPhone exceeds the success of their computers within a single product market. I don't see them getting rid of their computer line any time soon, especially laptops, but it does make sense for them to focus more on what is in demand and does extremely well for the company. It is not a bad thing.

Don't worry -Apple makes billions of dollars from Macs and loves them - they won't be neglected - in fact Apple's engineering power and buying power as a result of iPhones and, in time, iPads will end up facilitating better, cheaper Macs.
