As everyone knows the iPad uses Solid State memory technology for its storage. These solid state drives have been around a few years. Does anyone know what the failure rate is on these? Is it comparable to regular memory or a hard drive?

How does the performance of the flash memory in the iPad compare to the performance of the 128GB SSD in the MacBook Air? I'm just curious because I have an Air too.

Thanks
