iPad ipad stuck during restore

Hi ..

Im trying to restore my ipad to factory settings, since i cant start my ipad in any way, so i connected my ipad to itunes using usb and a laptop, after going through the process of erasing , downloading latest software then restoring, the ipad freezes in the middle of ( verifying software ) and never continues .
I repeated this process more than once but no luck !!

Any help is appreciated ..

Are you supposed to restore your iPad VIA Finder?
