iPad Swipe Gesture

Observation/Comment on the iPad’s swipe gesture to cycle between your current and last used app:

When performing the same gesture on the iPhone versus the iPad, both produce different results. Here’s an example:

• When using tweetbot, click on a link to open a browser window
• When the browser’s splash page opens, immediately swipe back to the previous app
• On the iPhone, this will return you back to tweetbot. On the iPad, you get the app previous to tweetbot
• Now if you wait for the browser to complete its splash on the iPad, and then try to return to the previous app, it all works as it’s supposed to

I realize this doesn’t sound like a huge problem, but as someone who likes to scroll through twitter, and open web pages to come back to later, it makes the process quite annoying.

Are others encountering the same? Not sure why the iPad suffers from this when the iPhone does not.

When I go from Tweetbot to browser, I usually tap the upper left-hand corner where it says Tweetbot to return. Same as when Mail takes me to the browser.

I cannot recreate this same issue. I have Tweetbot set to open links in the Safari app. Maybe it’s opening the links in Tweetbots internal browser for you?
