Like many of you I use more then one computer, and we already know the iPhone can only synch to one computer for overall use. I use my Macbook Pro for my iPhone while I do most of my video editing on my Mac Pro using FCP. Will I be able to hook up my iPad to both my Mac Pro and Macbook Pro to get to my video files on my iPad? Or will I still have to use an external hard drive and move video files from my Mac Pro to my Macbook pro and then synch? It's not a big deal in all, but I am curious. I am expecting it to work like my iPhone using the external drive. I would like to be wrong though.

You still need to hook it up to one computer, but you should try just transferring files over wireless or ethernet so you don't need to hook up a hard drive each time.

thought so...

Yes I figured it would be like the Iphone. I use wireless for small files, but video files are very slow over wireless. Thankfully I make it very easy on myself to transfer files via externals, I wish the wireless was quicker or I had a server set up, maybe when prices drop down the road.

Thanks for your input!

I successfully did it once by copying the entire iTunes library from my iMac to my MacBook Pro. But if if the library file goes corrupt on either system, iTunes acts like you're connecting the iPhone/iPod to a new library. :(
