I finally synced my iPad with my MacBook Pro today, and although it's almost done (I think), it's been syncing for over 15 minutes. I haven't had an iPhone for about 8 months now, and while I remember the syncing for that to be slow as well, I filled the darn thing. My iPad? It's only got 2 gigs of stuff on it.

How is everyone else's syncing times? And how much is it syncing?

Did you still have all your iPhone apps on the computer? It automatically thinks you will want to sync them all.

Mine synched as fast as my Touch....maybe a little faster. I plan to resynch the music to 128 AAC....THAT is slooooooooow, I am going to have to take care of that before I go to bed.

Weird. The sync to which I was referring was my second sync, and it was horribly slow. Subsequent syncs have been zippy.

It took me around 40 mins on my initial sync albeit was 17g of music 14g of pics and being as during a transfer to an external drive I deleted everything and went off an unitunes converted back up file so I thought it was just the optimization have yet to resync

It's pretty easy to download an app that is sort of big, and then backing that up will take a long time the first sync after that.
