Not sure how or why eBay would know the release date:

"iPad is expected to be launched March 27, 2010"

eBay also has their own iPad page (which doesn't mention the release date): http://ipad.ebay.com/

Does say, "Make sure you’re an eBay user for the iPad launch... Sign up today!"

EDIT: Did they get their information here??: http://www.sizzledcore.com/2010/01/28/ipad-release-date-photo-gallery-video/

iPad will be released March 26th Friday.

Will be like an iPhone launch (except less people depending on the Area). Meaning 7 PM openings and lines outside the door. Straight from the source

Will there be preorders ahead of the launch?

Don't you mean 7am?

But anyway, I get ALL my important information on EBAY as I know that it's a safe and wholesome marketplace.

Ha. Love some of the sarcastic remarks.

I was reading another thread here where someone said an iPad sold on eBay for $900. I figured I would just see if there were any other scammers or legitimate ;) sellers on there. No iPads showed up, but what did come up I posted here.

I thought it was odd that eBay predict something like as well as have a whole page dedicated to the iPad. I don't remember eBay having a whole page dedicated to the iPhone, but I may just be uninformed.
