iPad iPad to picture frame?

My lovely bride wants a digital photo frame to sit on one of the living room tables.

A decent 8x10 photo frame with a good quality screen is at least $100+, so I’m thinking if we get an iPad, we could at least use it on vacation.

What app have you guys found to be the best to use the iPad as a picture frame?

I like Photo Manager Pro for general photo storage and display and it has good control options (delay, shuffle, repeat, etc.) for slideshows.

I set this app up for my Dad a few years ago and it’s been working very well. It will even cycle through (randomly if you wish) his entire iCloud Photo Library on an older iPad that can’t store all the photos at once. It can overlay time and weather info as well.

It sucks that Apple removed this feature from iOS. Iirc, iOS 6 and older had a native picture frame function.
