I took the iPad and the composite cable to the parents house the other day to show them videos and pictures from our holiday.. I was happy with the videos but the photos wouldn't output via the composite - it likes the VGA out cable.

Is there one Ipad app that will stream video, audio or pictures from the iOS device to the TV via the composite cable?

I was looking at StreamToME but it seems to keep the content on the PC/Mac and stream via the iOS device.

I prefer to keep the desired content on the Ipad and use the existing apple video, picture and music file locations and not reload everything into another app.

I do have an ATV2 but I dont want to take it with me.

...yeah, because the AppleTV is so big... :D

The iPad is notorious about what it wants to display on a TV or VGA display, and what it doesn't. Do you have an iPhone or iPod Touch? Does it have the same limitations?

Didn't think of trying the iPhone. Will do it. I use the ipad all the time and the company gave me the iPhone a few weeks ago but I don't use it much for apps or media.

Found out the iPhone worked the same as the iPad. Both video and music show output option to "Dock Connector".

Then discovered that Photos output to composite on Slideshow when plugged in which is half good if you want to wait 3 secs for each picture, but doesn't allow you to control the pics.

Anyhow, looks like it is the best option (that I somehow miseed) unless someone knows of another app.
