iPad UK Online Orders

Hello All,

On 6th June 2010, I placed an order online for a 32GB Wifi+3G iPad online after repeated attempts to get one instore from Regent Street. The estimated shipping date is 19 June and delivery date 21 June. However, I have noticed that my Credit Card hasn't been charged yet.

I placed an order online for iPhone 4 and that seems to have gone through (it says pending transaction). I have no communication whatsoever from Apple and this is worrying me. I am entirely certain, but I thought I had seen a similar (pending transaction) on my online credit card statement. Has anyone had similar experiences?

I am in the same situation, i ordered a 32gb wifi and had an email saying shipping 18/6/10 however when i check online it tells me order not yet shipped and also my card has not been deducted.

Hope the thing does get dispatched as i wanted one but thought to expensive so i'll leave it, then changed my mind and thought sod it and bought it and its taken 3 weeks and counting which has been annoying

Thanks Delta, saw a couple of other threads which discuss about early delivery. Going by the posts on the Thread, you should have received yours by now. Now sure how this works for the UK.

It will 'verify' that you have funds on the card, and then bugger off really.
Then just as it's about to ship, it will charge you - Nothing to worry about.

Hope you have your iPad soon.

Sorry this is a bit off topic - but is there any stock in the UK shops? Or any way of checking it like there was with the iPhone 3G? I was hoping to go buy one in either the Trafford Centre (Manchester) or Meadowhall (Sheffield) stores next week, by the sounds of it London are running low on stock but I don't know if that's a country-wide issue?

Just ring them a bit before closing time the night before and ask, they're usually pretty helpful on the phone.

I bought mine yesterday from pcworld, enfield. 32Gb, 3G model. They had 8 in stock
So I cancelled my order from the apple shop which was due to ship 2 weeks later

That's awesome, I live in Central London and the nearest PC World I can get to is on Tottenham Court Road. Will check if they have any in stock.
