I know this has been asked before, but I did a quick search and I'm pretty sure it's in one of the huge topics so I thought I'd just make a new thread.

If I buy a iPad from Ebay (US version) which doesn't have the original sales receipt, will the warranty still be ok over here? There is someone selling 64GB WiFi models near where I live for only a little more than they are going to be over here.

I'm really tempted to go out tomorrow and get one but this is the only thing stopping me. If I open it up tomorrow and have a dead pixel or something I would love to go my local Apple store and get it swapped on the 28th.

Thanks.

With most apple warranty's they are international with the exception of the iPhone which due to operators is regional. So far we are all assuming the ipad warranty will be international, but it assumes your country actually has ipad.

For example if you imported from States, and needed to return it to apple - they will likely refuse to do so if the country your in has not got the ipad. In that instance they 'may' refer you to the origin country.

Thats been the only thing holding me back getting one from the US - 70 pounds cheaper and 3 weeks early..Its all just a little bit too unclear whether or not I can take mine back if its yellow, has light leaking or pixels issues. Im willing to swallow the extra price for peace of mind.

You should buy one in the UK and not cheat the UK healthcare system of its financial lifeline.
