iPad Wifi Performance (Standard vs 3G)

Is the 3G iPad's wifi reach further distances? I am interested in using the ipad in a room with mediocre WiFi service (only plastic macbooks work reliably in it). Do you guys think the 3G's will give me a better chance of having it work in that room?

No, the WiFi antenna is located behind the Apple logo on the back of the iPad just like the WiFi-only model.
