I hadn’t used this iPad 10.2” 9th generation. Might be 8th. I bought it new 2021. Getting ready for a trip 2 months trip early tomorrow morning. I decided go load some movies and song bee apps. It won’t boot. No charge. After awhile the empty box with a red line to the left appears. Then an icon that says on the Mac update or restore. So I try to update several times. And it looks like it’s loading an update, firmware and stuff. Then it reboots and then it says update, or restore. So I tried to restore. After all that time, I see the update or Restore dialogue again.

So now I don’t know what to do. Ideas people? I might still have Apple Care for it.

I probably should’ve just let it charge for 4 hours or so. I think it was just completely out of charge. Still not working though. But maybe I should’ve held off on restoring it as it might still come around. Just a guess. Any ideas?

I had to leave before I could continue. However I tried charging it for about 5 hours. It never changed the recovery mode screen. I tried many toned tones to restore it with no success. Ok try again in two weeks when I return. Or take it to the Genius Bar. Thanks.
