I plugged in my iPad to try and update to iOS 5, but it gets to the full bar and stops.

Its been sitting here with the full bar for 5 hours.

Any fix to this?

My iPhone used to do this. Download and install TinyUmbrella on your Mac or PC and just open it. This usually popped it out of the frozen state for me. No promises though.

Is your iPhone jailbroken? Tiny Umbrella is for that type situation. You might try to download & install the update on a computer that's not the main iTunes computer. For me, I use my laptop to DL and install updates, but restore after the update on my desktop, which IS the main iTunes location. Works well.
For some reason, I get an error message every time when using the desktop to update. Go figure.
