It seems to me that not all Youtube videos are available via the Youtube app on the iPad. From what I can gather, only the ones available through m.youtube.com (the mobile version, which you can reach via iPad safari also) are accessible.

For example, try finding "Lady Gaga - Telephone" video in the Youtube application. It is not there. You can find it if you google it in Safari, but if you click the Youtube link the app will fire up and tell you that it cannot load it.

More input into this matter is appreciated. If this is true, why? I don't like at all that when browsing Youtube I am only browsing a restricted set of videos.

Seems the same to me, the vevo link were the only two missing when I searched via YouTube app as opposed to safari.. All the videos I've searched for vie found on it

I don't really view this problem as much of a big deal. It's not like the native YouTube app on the iPad only is available to a fraction of all the videos or something.

Authors can disable their videos on mobile devices. YouTube also does a special processing for mobile devices, so some videos may be too new or YouTube simply messed something up.
