I have iOS5 on my iPod Touch 4, which has the same CPU and RAM, and it's a little slower than iOS4, but it's got SO many features it's totally worth it. Btw, you should generally install every update Apple releases.

I irDigital0l Guest Dec 7, 2010 2,901 0 May 26, 2012 #3 iOS 5 works well with my ipad 1. It'll probably be the last major iOS update for it too cause it started with iOS 3.2 and Apple tends to release 2 major iOS updates for a device.
