Ipad2 new user same stuff

i have been using wife's old iPad for a while but would like my own Id will I have to reinstall everything?

Am sure a complete reinstall would be good for the system

Your thoughts and how to do it appreciated.

You want to factory erase and restore the iPad?

Option 1:

• Go to Settings > General > Reset > and Erase All Content and Settings

Option 2:

1. Open iTunes
2. Connect the iPad to the Computer
3. Hold down the Power Button AND the Home Button
4. When the screen turns off release ONLY the Power Button (Continue to hold the Home Button)
   
5. Continue holding the home button until iTunes prompts you to restore it
6. Follow the instructions on iTunes
