Does this update support. The update is overkill for the M1 and its 8GB/16GB of RAM while as low as the A8 and its 2GB DDR3 of RAM in the Mini 4 perform decently while getting what is important in an update for it

I’m so happy with the amount of iPads supported so far with a lot of processors in between and with that many iPads eligible for iPadOS 14.5 this is Apples biggest attempt at expanding they’re services especially since find my is now for third party as well as AirTags all of these even the Mini 4 still gets as features.

I can imagine if iPad Mini 4 and older processors get iPadOS 15 though because we are like (including Pros with 2 different screens) closer to 20 iPads in sizes and configurations which support iPadOS 14.5

Nothing out of the ordinary here really. Apple wants its services to be successful and the technology has matured over the years as well.

decently is a relative term... after the latest OS updates my mini 4 has become unbearably slow... Maybe because I used to the pro and to the mini 5 but I think the mini 4 was half killed by iPadOS
