iPadOS 14 - removing old widgets from home screen

Call me crazy - but i cant remember how to delete the older type widgets from the notification area...

is the old “edit“ button gone? It’s still there on the iPhone... Is there another place to edit them? The new button at the top only adds the new ones.

Let me know what I’m missing.

It's still there. You need to get into jiggle mode by long-pressing somewhere near the top where the new widgets are, then scroll all the way down where the old "edit" option will appear.

It did exist for me, but after an edit, it disappeared. It did not come back even after multiple reboots

It comes in and out of mine. Didn't show up a bunch, and then it did. Definitely a bug.

The button can only be seen in portrait orientation. There is clearly a bug.

Definitely a bug, the edit button only appears when you enter jiggle mode and even there, it’s janky

And then I noticed that all the widgets have to be re-written by developers in order for them to fit the new widget ability. So most of the old widgets (all of the old, currently) will just have to fit on that initial screen.

It shows up if you scroll down to the bottom of the widget list before entering jiggle mode, strange bug!
