I’m not sure whether it’s changed in 16.x updates - now we can use Airplay speaker while connected to external speaker.

In ipados 16, I given up using external monitor.

I was playing my Nintendo Switch through my iPad with a capture card while trying to watch a video in another window. Unfortunately, the video just completely mutes the capture card feed. Would have been nice to have audio from both sources at the same time.

Not sure when it was enabled through this iPadOS 17.1 beta cycle, but this latest one allows for users to switch audio inputs.

It was strange when audio came out of my iPad speakers when using a monitor… was in disbelief.
