Hello everyone,

I just took delivery of my new IPP 12.9 v5 and boy has it been good.
Was initially on the fence about getting a keyboard but the scribble implementation has wowed me into bypassing that for my use case.

Back to the subject at hand,
My workflow is all figured out, but seeing how the ecosystem has changed since my last time owning an IpadOS device, I'm wondering if the third party side has been busy too.

If you have fun apps to recommend, it would be most appreciated.

Kindest,
J.

Depends upon your interests. For me, here are a few I like:

LumaFusion - video editing

Lightroom - RAW image processing

FileBrowser Pro - file mgmt., on-board & off

Kindle - iPads have supplanted my Kindle Oasis as reader of choice

Affinity - great photo processing

Complete Anatomy - really shows off iPad capabilities

Luninos Pro - great astronomy app

The Pyramids - really explore ancient Egypt

nPlayer - my go-to video player for stored videos, local & remote

Photo Manager Pro - for managing & display of my photos on the the iPad outside of the Photo Library

Portal - for relaxing sounds

Let us know what you plan to do on your new ipad, but Macstories may be a good place to start.

Thank you all for the answers !

@sparksd 's list will be a very good starting point.

I'm very interested in apps that could showcase the hardware (ie. augmented reality of any sorts).

@Abazigal Just started a Philosophy degree, got acquainted with the CAD capabilities of the Ipad when studying architecture.

This time around the ipad will be a glorified reader, hence the inquiry, as nothing I will throw at it will push it remotely close to its limit. (Dropbox, Concepts)

Man where to start!

Strongbox- open source keepass compatible password safe.
Affinity suite - real forwards thinking desktop class design and photo editing.
Lightroom - just a great dam and photo editor marred by the forced cloud usage, mitigated if you can use a mac with lightroom classic as a server.
Procreate - drawing and art
Vectornator- icons and suchlike
Shapr3d - 3D design app
Drafts - try it. It’s amazing.
FileBrowser pro - pretty useful to supplement (not replace) the files app
Cryptomator- open source private vaults for cloud services
Jump desktop - macOS as an app!
Concepts - nice storybording app
QuickScan - private on device scanning
LumaFusion - video editing

There are more but I don’t have my iPad to check what I have forgotten!!
