About time if you ask me. This way they can brand out of iOS specific things. My 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 is starting to get excited. Cant wait!!

The tweet claims that it’s just a renaming that’s going on. I don’t mind so much how they call it, I mind if it will contain additional features that allow me to get more done with the same device.

I hope iPadOS Will add mouse support. Now that safari on iPad will be desktop class it can run Figma which I use everyday for UI design.

I'd like to see what "desktop class" means before I cheer Apple on for that. Desktop-class implies support for plug-ins and advanced web apps but I suspect that Apple's definition of "desktop class" is something different.

The Files.app support for USB storage is a welcomed (if baby-step) addition. So is the tweaking of the home screen with a tighter icon grid and widgets on the same screen.

Had Apple added mouse support to iPad OS, I would be putting my order in for a new iPad Pro. But as it stands, not enough movement to change my mind about iPads... and since iPad OS will support both my iPad Mini 4 and 2018 iPad, I'll be able to kick the tires to see how significant these changes are.

#11 As I remember Chrome on some Android tablets are a "desktop" like Chrome which means It can run WebGL browser apps like Figma. Think I saw someone using a Samsung with the DEX dock do add mouse support on a tablet.

I hope Apple is making safari a fully working browser like on a Mac.

Lets wait and see :)
