Heya all,

I must be the world's dumbest iPadOS user because I can't figure the simplest of problems:

I want to import my audio files from an external hard drive (USB-C) to my iPad.
Same goes for video files in VLC.

Neither VLC nor the Music App has an option to import, so I went into the files app, where I can browse the contents of the hard drive, but I can't find an option to import, or even copy the files one by one, even there.

I might be missing something really obvious here, so pretend like I'm your great grandfather who has never used a computer before.

Cheers!

From the files app drag and drop or right click (long press) and move or copy.

I dont know about importing into specific apps though.

*edit, try putting VLC and files app side by side and dragging and dropping

So pretty much, if I want to import my music collection to the iPad, I still have to go the itunes route?

If you want to use Apple Music, yes I think so. You can use a different music playing app though cant you?
