I just found out the apartment I'll be staying at in Germany next month has really crappy WiFi. I used a Ubigi eSIM in my iPhone Xs with good result on my last EU trip and I was heartened to see they list the IPP under supported devices.

So has anybody used Ubigi -- or Truephone or GigSky or similar -- eSIM to get wireless data while roaming? My plan B is to put some money on a Vodofone NL SIM I have laying around and stick that in the IPP. Plan C is to buy a data only SIM when I arrive. But I'd rather not mess with a physical SIM if I don't have to. I have managed to lose and/or mangle physical SIMs -- I am a klutz.

I’d just go with plan B if I were you.
