iPad’s become unresponsive, freeze, internet stops working etc need restart to fix

Who’s noticed since iPadOS 14.x using iPad and it becomes unresponsive?

iPad (6th generation)

Such as webpages in Safari stop responding, tabs frozen, URL bar doesn’t respond, open the keyboard to type and each letter takes 10 seconds or so to display, iPad hangs and freezes for 10+ seconds, same in email, same for other apps like NPlayer just hang and stall trying to access network folders, spin spin spin for so long time, totally fsckd.
For me its happening many times a day, have to shut it down and restart.

I’ve had iPads since the first one and never seen this broken ass behaviour before.
Really, it’s incredibly bad and must be this OS 14, never happened in previous OS’s.

Probably some buffer under run, system runs out of RAM but the RAM is trapped probably Safari and its not getting released when the app is closed.

Just Ad Guard, using it for years before iOS14.

I'd at least try uninstalling Ad Guard to check.

Not running iOS 14 here yet. Maybe some folks will chime in.

I’ve been running iOS 14 since the first beta on my iPP 11 and never experienced any of the issues which mention. Currently on 14.5b2. Still no such issues.

I am noticing Safari stops responding intermittently every few minutes. I am not running any ad blockers.

Yeah I’ve encountered this and many other iPadOS bugs including cases where it slows down so much it won’t even play music properly. Or other fun stuff with the music app like randomly asking me if I want to transfer my account to the “new” device and pressing yes does nothing.

iPad OS 14 for me has been terrible in terms of stability and I look forward to June/July

I‘ve been noticing similar problems on my iPad Air 3 running iOS 14.5 PB 2. I find that unlock passcode is unresponsive, Safari and keyboard are also unresponsive. Rebooting usually helps for a bit. I appreciate I am using a public beta and I am hoping the next beta and/or final release will solve the issues.
