iPads before end of August?

hey everyone

What do you think the likelihood of new iPads before the end of August, pro specially?

I currently go to veterinary school abroad and I already have a 10.5, but would love to upgrade while I’m home for break. But, sadly, will only be home 10 days.

I know that know one knows for sure, but are there any magical predictions?
 
Not very likely. Apple would rather milk the iPads they have now for back to school. We won't see anything till October or November, closer to the holiday season.
 
I agree with the previous ones, unlikely by the end of August. I expect a September/October time frame.

Though the 10.5 should be plenty capable to hold you off until the next upgrade at the very least.
 
Highly unlikely. Apple will use the August back to school promos to clean out stock of last years ipad pros. I would say September at the iphone event is the earliest you will see new ipad pros...but more likely, they will get their own event in Oct/Nov. Like everyone else, i’m just guessing tho.

Side note, does anyone have their screen just to non-responsive to finger touch and only work with Apple Pencil. Mainly when plugged in?

It’s not the software. I did a complete restore without a backup.

My air 2 is a pain to use when pluggged in...I thought I read somewhere why the touch screen gets weird when plugged in but forgot why it does.

Grounding issue related to a bad charger. Try using another original Apple charger.

Caveat being This is Apple and they are unpredictable, being no one really envisioned The MacBook Pros launching in July either. That said, I don’t agree that the iPads would launch at the end of August, not when the iPhone keynote would be approximately 2 1/2 weeks after that. If the iPads launch, I think it would be a separate event this year in October or November. But I still think early 2019 is when we will see the next generation of iPad with Face ID.
 
It will probably be at the September iPhone event, if there is an October event that will probably be for Mac's but they could also announce new iPad's there as well, they have done that in the past.
