iPads for sale at Amsterdan Airport (21 Apr 2010)

Not sure if anyone has picked this up yet

Having quite some time to kill at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport yesterday due to the ash cloud over Europe, I had plenty of time to peruse the not so great Duty Free prices when lo and behold I saw an iPad for sale.

Price was €799 (euro) for the 16GB version which is not exactly a bargain...

I'll upload the photo as soon as I have figured out how to do this.....

I am very much hoping that this is not the price that Apple will actually be selling the iPad for when it is officially launched.

Prices of electronics at Schiphol have never been good anyway in the 15 years that I have been transiting thru it. And they certainly gauge on this one knowing the iPad hasn't been released in Europe yet...

I love Amsterdam. I've been there 3 times, only on vacation, never thought about buying electronics at Schipol. Interesting they have an iPad though .

I wish I needed to go there for work :-(.

I don't think the airport will have an authorized apple reseller inside the terminal, what I do know is that come friday the iPad will be available in the Netherlands, I guess if your there you'll be able to get one.

Prices range from 499€ to 799€ depending on the model.
