So yesterday my phone was kicked off the top of a halfpipe to concrete. It worked fine until about 4 hours later when while playing music the screen cut out and would not respond to anything. Rushed it to the computer to see if that would help, which it did turn it back on. 10 minutes after unplugging it, same thing happened. now i cant get it to do anything. is there anything i can do to get this thing to respond?!

Are there any marks on it from the fall? If not take it to your local genius bar. If there are, you might be a SOL.

All you can really try is holding the power and home buttons for a few minutes to see if it will go back in to restore mode but it sounds like you have something hardware related that is wrong so don't like your chances, you may need to take it to an Apple store to assess the damage.

PS. your post title is wrong should be NOT responsive

its been kept in an incase slider all its life and does not have a single scratch on it, but with the genius bar, my warranty expired a week ago, which just makes this situation awesome. And thanks jaseone, should probably clarify that in the title. What would the replacement be for a first gen. 8 gb?
