I had my iPhone for almost six months without so much as a glitch. I installed 1.1.3 on Jan 16th and I started getting 5-6 Reboots a day. Playing a song and *Poof* reboot. After a couple of days of the reboots I reloaded 1.1.3 and it continued to happen. The following day I got a BSOD (Black Screen of Death) Apple Logo with Diagnostic information on the boot up screen.

I took it into the apple store and they switched it out for a "New model", the Genius updated to 1.1.3 and about two hours later it locked up. Mid-swipe to login to the phone and the cursor stopped. Rebooted. I woke up the next morning and it was locked up again. It locked up again around lunch and then at 8pm. I took it to the apple store where another customer was having lockup issues as well. They replaced the phone again and I denied the Genius from updating to 1.1.3.

I re-sync'd my info back to the phone and deleted my old restores (in case that was the cause of the failures) but I'm now gun-shy to upgrade to 1.1.3 again.

Is anybody else having issues with 1.1.3? Oh non-jail broken, no third party apps were installed FYI.

Sorry to hear about that man. I was brave and upgraded to 1.1.3 as soon as it came out... and I havent had any issues. Certainly nothing like that. Dont know what to tell you.

The "Garden" state
That's very odd. Happened to me once while playing music, that's it (at least so far.)

Here's an idea: If you are getting lots of reboots, try restoring the phone and ONLY adding in phone information, contact info etc. Don't load any music or pics, or bookmarks or anything. Give it a day and see if during normal phone use it resets/reboots. If not, add in your calendar, see what happens. Then music, then pics. It's a long shot, but maybe there's something corrupted in a music file or a pic and after you access the corrupted media it's throwing the system out of whack?

Well I use to hang out at Apple Discussions as a Top User until the Moderators got out of control, so here I am starting today.

There have been many reports on 1.1.3 being an issue including crashes and loss of BT pairing. My iPhone, took 3 restores to fix and I had to Reinstall iTunes as well.

I suggest, unless you want to risk another iPhone, uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling iTunes and then Restoring your iPhone with the new iTunes, hopefully all the files will be set right and it will restore your iPhone properly. (Many issues with 7.6 as well, Apple was too quick for MWSF.)

Thanks all for the thoughts. I know I'm being overly cautious but I have to drive an hour each way to go to the Apple Store. At this point I’m happy with 1.1.2.

Oh funny postscript.

My parents address works under 1.1.2 but when I perform the same search under 1.1.3 it gives me the choice of "East or West ... <address>" but when I select either it comes back with "Address not found". Not that I need to route to my parents house but yet another crazy little thing. Confirmed same issue on 1.1.3 on a third-party phone (no jailbreaks, third party apps.. etc..)

I've had battery issues since 1.1.3, though I wasn't happy with the battery performance before that. Since updating though I have had the battery indicator not even move over the course of the day and 4 hrs of usage, only to reboot it and have it tell me the battery was now almost dead. I have watched the usage counter continue to increase while charging, even in airplane mode with no alarms set and leaving it alone for hours. Now it seems to be down to 2.5 hrs of usage before I get the 20% warning.

This is my third phone. The first one worked absolutely perfectly for 5 months, then developed bubbles within the glass. The last two phones have had battery issues. I'm dreading another trip to the store.

Well all, I took the plunge and upgrade to 1.1.3 on my new-new iPhone. I deleted any of my "Auto Saves" from the previous 1.1.3 and then upgraded. I have had music playing for 24 hours now without a lockup or reboot.

I will chalk this up to my own bad luck.
