Hello my loves, bought a refurbished iPhone 11 Pro Max start of the year, I know people will call me paranoid, but the phone has slowed down immensely since the latest updates since the 15 series has been out.

I paid £300 for my refurbished 11 pro max, and got £250 trade in against the 15 pro max, so essentially the 11 pro max cost me £10 a month in depreciation, not bad!

I wish all you iPhone 11 Pro Max kings the best with your long road ahead, how many of you are out there still? my 15 pro max feels smaller than I was expecting but the pro motion makes it feel super fast!

I'm still using my 11 Pro (bought in 2020). I suffered the same as you, but the solution is doing a Factory Restauration from your Mac/PC, without loading an Security backup, phone will get smooth as the first day

I have a question for you: how the 15PM battery life is in comparison to your 11PM?

11 Pro Max, 512GB. Bought February 2021. Dropped it and had it replaced, May 2022. Running iOS 17.2.1.

Not having any 'slow down' issues. OTOH, I use my iPhone mainly as a phone not as a media device or a gaming/app machine.

Probably needed to restore your phone as it sounds like there might be a software issue. I'm using an 8+, which is much slower than the 11 and it runs perfectly fine.

The 15pm is actually smaller dimensionally than the 11pm. But as far as the slowdown it’s not likely, imo, that iOS 17 is responsible…it would be all over the internet.

I have a suspicion that a lot of people suffering 'slowdowns' on updated phones is because the phone is at or near capacity.

My regular iPhone 11 is smooth. Not sure if that is because it is at only half capacity memory wise in terms of use.

The 15 PM is a tad bit larger than 11 PM, but smaller than 12 PM, 13 PM and 14 PM. It’s truly amazing how Apple managed to fit a larger battery, 5x optical zoom lens etc… in a smaller and lighter chassis.
15 PM weighs less than a 12 PM which is truly amazing given the fact that the 12 PM has the smallest battery of all “Pro Max” iPhones.

The one thing I do not care for with my 11PM (other than the fugly camera boil on the back) is that it's top heavy. Meaning, a lot of the weight seems to be in the top half of the phone. If I'm holding it by the bottom half, it means the phone tends to want to flip out of my hand. My 6 Plus and 6s Plus do not feel that way.

Ah yes, the 11 Pro Max did feel more “dense” towards the top, the 15 PM is a lot more balanced, it feels like they spread the weight a lot more evenly and it feels less dense overall due to that.

One of the best iPhone experience right out the box with iOS 13, second only to iPhone 5 with iOS 6. I’ve sold mine away early last year and I do regret it a little bit now and then.
