I know that battery tests are not reflective of how people use their phones but the results of the Tom's Guide battery test for the new iPhones is not what I expected. They set the screen to 150 nits and surf the web on LTE with automatic web reloads every 30 seconds. The results were:

iPhone 11 - 11:16 hours
iPhone 11 Pro - 10:24 hours
iPhone 11 Pro Max - 11:54 hours

Last year, Tom's Guide did the exact same test with the iPhone XS and max and had the following results:

iPhone XS - 9:41 hours
iPhone XS Max - 10:38 hours

This is not trolling. I've been considering getting the iPhone 11 Pro partially because of battery life but it doesn't seem like there is that much of a difference if you are to believe this test.

Realistically, how much more screen time can you really expect to squeeze out of the iPhone 11 Pro when compared to XS?

I'd initially gotten the 11P launch day & used it for 1 week before now using the 11PM. Coming from my XS Max, battery life was comparable to the 11P. Almost the identical charging routine I'd had with the XS Max.

Of course every site does different type of battery tests so I'll give you another one from GSM Arena and I'll just focus on video playback numbers.

iPhone Xs - 11:21 hours
iPhone Xs Max - 13:43 hours

iPhone 11 Pro - 15:14 hours
iPhone 11 Pro Max - 19:30 hours

I upgraded from Xs Max to an 11 Pro Max this year and I do all types of things throughout the day such as mail, lots of mobile gaming, social media, etc. and I can roughly say the battery lasts 40% longer. Though I am referring to the Max model with its huge 3969 battery, I used to charge once a day in the middle of the day on my Xs Max but now I can go through the whole day from 7AM to 11PM with the same exact usage patterns and I will be at 20% by the time I go to bed.
