So I have been trying to get my iPhone 11 Pro's screen repaired for the last week and UBreakIFIx is telling me due to some type of iOS 15 update there machines are unable to repair our phones. They are waiting on some update but I thought this was weird and I have not seen it mentioned anywhere. Three different stores all told me the same thing so it's a known issue. Does anyone know what a software update would have to do with repairing something physical like the screen and if Apple is aware of it.

More than likely it has to do with Face ID. If you get the screen repaired from someone other than Apple, Face ID will no longer work, even if they are using original parts. And Apple implemented this new change with iOS 15.
