Apologies if this has been in a prior thread, but what are the rumors suggesting for iPhone 11/Pro/Pro Max capacities? Personally, I'd like to see a 128GB base capacity, but I feel that might be asking a bit too much.

It seems like that would be the sweet spot 128 GB I probably will get the base model this year. I never even get close to 256 GB not even on my iPad which is the same

Betting 64GB.
Smaller app sizes = More justification from Apple for offering paltry base storage.

I noted this before, the 128GB makes too much sense to be offered to us. Most of us will just grab that.

But by having 64GB and 256GB, they are still able to call it the $999 iPhone and at the same time make us fork out more money for storage we don’t need.

I hope it stays at 64. I replaced two iPads and my iPhone last year and took a look at how I was using local storage on each. With most things syncing to someone's cloud, all three were in the 50-60% range. For me, and probably for a lot of other people, 128GB would be paying (and paying a lot) for storage we'll never use.

I’d love to get the 64gb model (if that is indeed the base storage of the Pro models), however currently I’m using roughly 130gb ish, mostly photos/videos/music and too many unused apps. Wondering if I could slim down...

Most consumers choose the middle tier option because they don't know how much they need. Apple doesn't make it easy to determine file sizes either.

I pretty much consistently use around 23-25GB and have done ever since I started letting the phone use iCloud and archive apps i’m not using etc. I also only keep iMessages for 30 days and manually clear WhatsApp chats of space consuming photos and videos every now and then.

So much as I might think a bump to 128GB would be a good thing, I don’t need it and wouldn’t use it.

Direct competitor to Apple, Samsung offers 256gb as base storage for the Note 10+.

Note 10+ and iPhone 11 Max will be compared closely by reviewers. So it would be stupid and outdated to put 64gb as base storage. (At least on the Pro -models, 64gb on the "iphone 11" makes sense)

But, you never know from Apple.

ps. One reason why Apple might call the iphones "pro" could be the bigger base storage.

All you people who think they are going to keep 64gb of base for all models are wrong. Yes it has made Apple more money by not offering a 128gb option but their sales have been dipping and storage is much cheaper YOY. They know this year is not going to be that high on people’s upgrade lists.

Yes 128gb base for all pro models

Yes, I usually overbuy storage on my iPhones. I like to download a lot of music, but I probably need less storage. anyway. Overbuying storage is losing proposition because of cost, and I don't think I get it back. Especially on trade-in. And resale doesn't seem to be boosted by storage. I need to throttle myself on my next iPhone.

128 Base sounds too good to be true, it would be enough for me anyways. It just hits that sweet spot where 64 is not enough.

I can understand that 128 GB will be the sweet spot, but personally I'll get the 256 GB as my sweet spot. Technically I'm only using 25GB space on my XS Max.
