IPhone 11 Random dim screen when waking up iPhone.

I have an issue where at random times my iPhones screen will be dim when waking it and unlocking it. I can't even adjust the brightness. The dim screen only goes away if I lock it again and then when I wake it up the screen is back to normal.

My autobrightness is always turned off.

What could be the issue and how to solve it?

I have the same issue on my iPhone 12 Pro, so it could be an iOS 14 glitch.

FWIW, same, and been that way since point-zero. It's definitely an iOS 14 bug. Kudos to Apple's thousands of software engineers for changing apparently nothing at all in the whole "turn on the screen when you wake up the device" feature, which has worked faultlessly since the original iPhone OS, and managing to break it anyway. Shrug.
