I’m trying to solve a problem for my fiancé who’s iPhone 11’s screen has become less responsive after it was updated to iOS 14.2. A lot of times taps don’t register and it is making typing much more difficult. She does have a screen protector on that was never an issue before iOS 14.2. Does anyone have the same issue?

Have you tried it without the screen protector to isolate the issue?

I haven’t. I’m wondering if that is indeed the cause but also wanted to see if anyone else had the issue and maybe it was software before having to install a new one if that didn’t fix it.

It's happening on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. In fact I was searching for reports when I found your post :)

I’ve noticed it a lot. Fin myself having to tap icons two or three times. I do use a screen protect but this should not be any issue. Been using protectors on every phone and iPad and zero issues.
Only started after installing 14.2, and oh, it doesn’t get any better with 14.3.

Reporting back: I restored her phone and that seemed to have fixed the issue
