Hi guys,

I’m in New York and can get the 11 pro for 1090 after taxes which is like £860.

I would get it, but the guarantee is what pushes me back. Can I get apple care for it once I get back to the UK? I know if I get the apple care is the US I would not be all that well covered.

Thanks.

You’d be covered fine. Every Apple device that can run without a power supply has a global warranty.

I bought an iPad 3 on release when I was working in NYC, got it back, dropped it and smashed it.

had it replaced under Applecare + at my local store.

I think the phones are the same as the UK ones, but there’s a comparison somewhere on Apple’s website, showing the differences of the models and their various bands.

The only thing you need to check are the bands for the UK networks.

I did a similar thing with the Apple Watch 4 when it came out, bought in America for cheaper than the UK price.
