Hi guys,

on Friday my iPhone decided to turn off, iPhone logo keeps flashing, and ocasioanlly the iPhone lead (iTunes) logo comes up.

When I press volume up, then volume down and hold power button for 30 secs nothing happens.

When I plug my iPhone into my Mac, nothing happens. Its not even detected in iTunes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is your Mac up to date? Which version are you running? You've mentioned iTunes so it sounds like you're not running Catalina.

I'm not sure where the 30 seconds step comes from, but here's what Apple suggests to get your phone into recovery mode:
  • iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.

Make sure you have updated your iTunes and macOS. When you are up to date, try restoring your iPhone in Recovery mode.
