So, what happened to iPhone 12? No news, no info about it on yesterday’s Apple event! Do we have to wait for new models to appear in 2021?

I think the average consumer was confused about no announcement yesterday, but anyone on these forums or who has been following the news leading up to the event was pretty sure there was not going to be iPhone 12 news. All of the rumors pointed to a second event either later this month or in October.

I read CNET's prediction, they're thinking around Oct 13th for the announcement, that would correspond to the rumor mill.

I’m confused. Even if you weren’t aware of information that the iPhones would be delayed a few weeks what do you care anyway? It’s not as if there won’t be new iPhones at all, it’s just not on a regular schedule. when they come they come. I’m sure your current iPhone does everything the new ones will that you actually use on The daily

So what? People freak out in here when new Macs are delayed. Last years Mac does everything the new ones do too right? New iPhones are the only product released at the same time every year, every Sept. So its easy to see people being upset they aren't seeing any.

Production delays due to Apple's incompetence and poor management. They will supposedly be announced mid to late Oct, which means you won't have one in hand until Nov. Probably not until Dec for the Pro models.

Everyone has their personal perspective. i Currently have two iPhones. An 11 pro max and secondary side hustle device, an iPhone XR. I’m good. I’m not in need of a new phone. I just want them for my personal amusement. I might sell or trade my perfectly functional XR for the low end 6.1 OLED model. But I’m not emotionally invested in when they’re released Because I’m a rational human being. Oh yes, I have 100 shares of Apple. I really hope all of you buy the **** out of everything Apple is releasing this fall

How dare you not see the outrage with the iPhone not being released on time. We are entitled to an iPhone release in sep.

I’d love to know what you do for work. Surely there’s some timelines for certain tasks that you have to meet, however not everything is in your control so sometimes that timeline is not do able? Also for someone who keeps bashing Apple for not meeting their usual timeline you seem to be spending a lot of time on a Mac forum big noting Samsung.
