Got the iPhone 12. When using the View Mode set to zoomed (instead of standard) lots of apps have big black bars top and bottom not filling the full screen. Comparing it with the iPhone XR (same screen size) also running ios 14 the xr doesn’t have that issue. Any idea why this happens? I’m talking about big apps like Facebook messenger, Skype, PayPal, Google Keep, etc. Thanks

The screen resolution is different for the iPhone 12 (both Standard and Zoom)

The apps just haven’t been updated yet for both resolutions.

Give them time.

It’s still happening with all my banking apps and streaming apps, too. And, I prefer zoomed view for the bigger keyboard. I’ll be glad when this gets fixed so I can take my phone off standard view. It’s virtually the only gripe I have coming from the XS Max.

Same problem here too! Glad other people have noticed. I can’t go back to standard now it just doesn’t seem right.
