So who here is rocking an iPhone 12 and happy with it?

Just got it a few days back, and its such a great phone. Coming from a first gen iPhone SE, its an upgrade on every level. Its such a well rounded phone, be it battery life, performance, cameras, display etc. Beautiful design, and I think its the perfect size/weight.

So how many of you are happy with the phone and how long have you been using it?

would have paid the extra for a 13 mini.

better battery life, better camera system, better display (brighter), better speakers, and better magsafe mechanism (stronger magnet), and faster processor albeit small performance increase, but more efficient

There is NO REASON AT ALL for me to upgrade from a 12. Boring update this is really a 12S.

Ehh, most battery tests have iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 at the same level.

I'd take the bigger screen(easier typing+better at consuming content/social media) anyday, over marginal processor/camera upgrades. I've used the SE for years now, and I know the cons of a smaller screen very well. 12 I think is the optimum size, easy to use one handed, but also big enough to watch YT/browse twitter very comfortably. In real life usage terms, the camera and processor bumps are not really noticeable imo. I'm also wary of heating concerns in smaller phones.

I got it for almost $200 cheaper too.

if youre saying you prefer the 12 over the 13 i still would have opted for the 13. if you bought the 12 used that would mean a lower capacity battery since its used. 13 still has an improved camera (especially in low light and UW sensor) + battery life + speaker + brighter display improvement over the 12.

Its not used.

And also your initial point was about the mini not the 13.

Ehh, dont think a slightly better camera and peak brightness is worth $200 increase to me over a bigger more usable screen.

Sounds like you were on the edge and chose the 12 over the 13 and need someone else to justify your purchase.

There’s nothing in iOS that bottlenecks the iPhone 12. My wife’s XS is about the same in day to day usage. As someone else said the 13 is a minor bump, an “S” version and they look nearly identical.

I upgraded from 12PM to 13PM for the camera upgrades and I am immensely enjoying the battery which is much better than I expected. That said, the 12PM was an awesome phone and I would be very happy with it if I was still using it. I have been a photo and video enthusiast for 50 years and the ability to have a 4K ProRes camera in my pocket at all times was just too much for me to resist.

I ”upgraded“ from an XS max to an iPhone 12 last week. The deals being offered made the 13 a good value, but I couldn’t walk out of the local Apple store with anything but a 12 the same day. Of course, it was an even lower price for yesterday‘s news ($179 after incentives—the least I’ve spent on a phone since I mistakenly bought a cheap huawei when they came out years ago). The mint green color is unique and grabs attention. Minus the underwhelming speaker vs the XS, I’m quite pleased. There are definite upgrades to the camera and speed, the screen looks as good or better than the XS, and I don’t miss the bulkness and weight.

I’m surprised that I like last year’s mid range model after coming from the top model of a few years ago. Don’t get me wrong, the 13 is better on spec, but anyone with an older phone will probably be fine with the 12 if they want to save a few bucks.

I’ve had an iPhone 12 since launch last year and it’s still a new phone to me. It’s been out barely a year and I’ve not done anything that really tests the capabilities of the device. OP, ignore the snobs here that look down their nose at you for not buying the ‘latest’ device. Just laugh at them. You’ve bought a very good phone and you should enjoy it.

Bought an iPhone 12 mini a couple weeks ago. Love it. With the recent price reduction, thought it was a fair price for a phone that does everything I need it to do. Most important to me are strong connectivity/signal, and audio quality for phone calls, and iPhone 12 mini delivers. Perfect size, battery life has been fine, great companion for business, personal, and even hiking.

After using the iPhone 12 for over 2 weeks now, I have to say I'm very impressed.

I'm really pleasantly surprised at the battery life. I'm no heavy user, but even on initial days when I was stuck on the phone the whole day, I was getting whole day battery life easily. On normal days with my regular use(calls, facetime, twitter, instagram) I get 2 days use before I have to charge.

Coming from an iPhone SE which had become a landline tbh, its such a great upgrade. I always thought going from a 4inch screen to a 6.1inch screen might be too much, but its so natural. A very light phone as well.
