This is a mystery to me, but I have the Apple iPhone Lightning Dock from some time ago and I just got the iPhone 12 Mini.
When I plug the phone in the dock—nothing happens. I tried with a USB A and USB C cable—nothing. In different ports—nothing.
When I plug the phone directly into the cable (either of the two) it charges and connects to my laptop just fine. It worked just fine with iPhone 11 Pro (still does) and earlier phones.
What's going on? Doesn't make any sense.
