Hey all. Wondering if anyone is experiencing this issue with any model of their iPhone 12. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max on Verizon. When I dial or a call comes in to me, the first time I answer the call, I can’t hear anything and the other party can’t hear me. After a few seconds I’ll get the “call failed” message. After I call the second time or the other party calls me the second time, the call comes in fine. I’ve rebooted, installed iOS fresh using my Mac (then restored from my backup), and I’ve had my SIM card replaced. Any ideas?

Yeah, I’ve been reading that! Oof! The good news is I’m not experiencing the issues mentioned in those posts: loss of signal, signal dropping then returning, etc. Mine is definitely connectivity related, though.

Are you using an esim? I was using my physical sim and experienced no dropouts. But plenty with the esim. This is with Vodafone Australia though.

Hey! I am not using an esim. I did get my phone exchanged today and I no longer have the issue. So either it’s a coincidence or it’s hardware for my case.
