My replica iPhone 12 Pro Max came today.

My impressions....

1. It does seem easier to pick up off a flat surface due to the flat edges compared to my 8 Plus's rounded edges.

2. The edges are more comfortable in-hand because they are rounded versus previous chamfered edges of the iPhone 5/5S.

3. The power and volume buttons have been lowered compared to the 11 Pro Max and it's definitely better ergonomically.

4. Essentially the same depth and width of the iPhone 8 Plus. Much thinner than the current 11 Pro Max. Just a touch taller than my 8 Plus.

5. Camera square is really big.

6. Strange tray-like element below power button.

Feels like a natural successor to the 11 Pro Max. I think most people will welcome the flat edges. The notch being potentially smaller is a huge deal. Superior side buttons placement. Nearly 1mm thinner this year is a huge difference for overall feel in hand and pocket.

Thanks for the feedback!

I guess I might jump in the MAX bandwagon.

Extra screen real state is always welcome

Is the phone that much bigger than the 11 PM?

I can really only compare it to my 8 Plus. With respect to that device, it is essentially identical with respect to depth and width. The 12 Pro Max is a little taller.

I should also say that currently I'm a little underwhelmed by the 12 Pro Max in the sense that it makes me more interested in the Fold 2 form factor. The 12 Pro Max reminds me greatly of my previous XS Max, just with flat edges and potentially a smaller notch.

This is where I got my unit. I'm now selling mine on the MR marketplace if anyone is interested.
