iPhone 12 Pro Max Speakerphone a bit quiet

I'm just coming back to iOS from a year away in Androidland (Pixel 4XL). I just got my Pro Max on Friday, and have noticed that "speakerphone" calls either mobile calls or facetime calls all seem a bit "quiet" even when turned to maximum volume. Meanwhile, media like music or YouTube videos get loud enough to where I rarely turn them up past half-way.

Forgive me if there is a stupid solution to this, but I've not been able to find one.

I just upgraded from 8Plus and I’m having the exact same issue and it’s stupiditly frustrating. Did you get anywhere?

Have you spoken to Apple at all? There’s not a lot online about this, even all the YT “honest reviews” don’t mention it which seems odd to me as it’s a significant function that people use.

I noticed the same on the 12.
Volume for Amazon Music or YouTube is pretty loud and excellent quality.

Facetime on speakerphone is rather quiet.
