So I thought it would be easier to just use my phone instead of bringing my camera out to a spot for a video project.... Well During the IMPORTANT parts it freaking recorded at 24fps for NO reason. and latter recorded normally at 60fps. Double checked my settings and its indeed still showing 4K60. When I first noticed it out recording it looked laggy but in the top left corner it said 4K60 while in video mode.

Anyone have this happen?

Well During the IMPORTANT parts it freaking recorded at 24fps for NO reason.. maybe it was dark? or insufficient amount of light perhaps?

If anything it was too bright middle of the day outside. I also have that setting turned off.

im no video expert but this is what im getting. so it records 4K60 but when it became too bright it dropped to 24fps but still 4K? and you are using the stock iPhone camera app? Try going to Settings, scroll to camera, record video and check AUTO FPS. im guessing its turned ON(mine is set at Auto 30 & 60,and i just knew there was such an option because of your thread)...

and im guessing thats what causing your video to drop as it says Auto FPS will reduce the frame rate to 24 fps to bla bla yada yada lols.

That what I thought it was, but when I checked I had already disabled the auto FPS. Weird. Well the 24 FPS was not too bad, I'll get over it, could've been worse I guess.

Yeah. I never noticed it until after the video was recorded. And its only happened during 2 clips. The rest of the clips came out just fine at 4K60

well 60 to 24 is far... even my grandma can see the difference. but i hope Apple fixes it when the next update is out.

Yeah.. And just noticed the weird jumpy focus issue the other day when the camera is facing another phone screen which I thought was weird. My 12 mini does not do it, but my 12 Pro max does.
