Probably slightly better RAM, Face ID systems and some minor internal bumps, but yes, this is nothing but a very incremental upgrade. If they weren't going for a new boxy design, this would have been an 11s, not a 12.

If they are smart they’d just give a small 30 second time slot for the iPhone telling us that it has an upgraded processor like they do with computers and iPads in the past. No need for a keynote for an 11 with just a upgraded chip.
