Here’s how the 11 pro looks in the 12 pro otterbox case! Oh how I’ve missed the square feel!

What’s the material on the back? Any texture?

Back is hard shell feel. The sides are “sticky” for grip. Not sure how long it will last, especially with regular cleaning.

Is the back flexible or rigid ? Any side grip?

it’s rigid but bendable (like normal otterbox shell)

sides are “sticky”

is the white part inside the case the magnet & is it covered with a white sticker?

it’s not a sticker. It’s the MagSafe plate. Weird because the Apple cases don’t have the white plates. They just have the circle.

I’m not sure if I will keep it. I fear it getting stuff and etching the phone.

Guessing we’ll be able to buy unofficial third-party adhesive magnet rings to make any case (that’s thin enough) MagSafe compatible.

I just got the same case, just not sure about it, seems a bit thick for what is said to be a slim case.
Not sure about the feel of the plastic on the back, I think it will go back.

I ordered the Aneu as well, received it today. It feels cheap as hell and is disappointing for $50. I've had plenty of other Otterbox cases in the past, and they felt solid and worth the money. This is going back.

Better or worse than Apple Silicone?

Never had Apple silicone, just the Apple leather. I’ve purchased cheap cases off Amazon that feel better built than this one. I’ll take the Apple leather case any day over this overpriced POS.

Got the Apple silicone and.... I love it! It feels just like the older ones. Thin case with good feel. MagSafe is discrete. No white insert.
New this case is that the bottom isn’t exposed and the camera hole has a better lip.
MagSafe works pretty well IMO. I can jiggle it and it holds my 11 pro in. I’m sure it’ll be even better hold with 12 pro magnets.

That's good to hear. The Apple Store near me finally reopened, so I'm going to return the Aneu and check out the silicone case. I'm honestly a bit surprised by the Otterbox, the other ones I've had have been bulletproof and built very well. These seem rushed.

Couple questions:
I ordered the Apple Silicon case and the Otterbox Aneu (agree that the Otterbox looks a bit cheap), if I unbox the Apple Silicon case (have to rip the seal of packaging), will Apple still accept return back in store in case I still want to stick with the Otterbox?

I'm really torn between both cases. Otterbox is probably more robust but looks cheap. I'm prone to drop my iPhone. How good does the Apple silicone case protect the iPhone if dropped?

I got the Aenu and Apple Silicone cases. The Otterbox Aenu is going back. The Aenu does not feel like any other Otterbox cases that I have owned. In fact, the Otterbox Symmetry have been my to go and everyday use case for the last 10 years. I’m going to keep my two Apple Silicone cases and get a Symmetry + MagSafe as soon it becomes available by end of Nov.

Yes! I had a Symmetry case on my X. It traveled the world with me and went through a ton of abuse and saved my phone every time.

Both cases offer minimal protection. If you’re prone to drops then I’d find another case.

they should take the return. I’d see them in person on launch day or wait for other retailers to get them in store.

To the folks here with the Apple Silicone case... how bad is the dust/lint collection? I really dig the look and the fact they'll be less slippery, but constant dust is a concern.

I’m normally using a Speck Presido which should have a similar cushion / protection like the the Otterbox Aneu. Dropped my phone in the Speck case a couple time and never had an issue.

How do you think is the drop protection between Otterbox Aneu and the Apple one?
