My new iPhone 12 takes like 2 or 3 seconds to process the photos after taking them, specially the portraits or night shots. Is this normal?

When I take one photo it takes its time to process it and to be available in the gallery, and when I open the photo it is blurry and with different lighting until the phone shows it at maximum quality.

For example, today I took a portrait and when I opened it in the gallery there was no DOF at all for a few seconds until it showed up.

In my iPhone 8 Plus everything regarding the camera was quicker. Everything else in the phone works fine. Should I restart it or return it?

I don’t have the iPhone 12 but, if my memory is accurate, the slight delay is due to the phone processing the picture and is a normal action for the phone. If I am wrong, iPhone 12 users, please correct me.
